Soroptimist International of Gig Harbor (SIGH) was chartered in 2007 and is one of the youngest Soroptimist clubs in the Puget Sound area. SIGH is part of a global volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.
Through our fundraising efforts, we have been able to provide funding to various community organizations. Here are some of the projects that help the lives of women and girls in the Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula communities:
Financial assistance and service is also given during the winter holidays
Attending monthly meetings is the best way to learn all about the club. Currently, meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month in the Community Room (3rd floor) of Summit Tower Apartments at 5:30pm. 6563 McDonald Ave; Gig Harbor WA 98335. Please note, meeting dates/times/locations are subject to change.
Light potluck style lunch/snacks is provided by the members. Meetings may include: business portion, guest speakers, special event or presentation. Please contact us if you would like to attend a meeting at sigigharbor@soroptimist.net

The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award is a unique education award for women who provide the primary financial support for their families. These awards give women the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects.
